Wow!
The house looks more like a house every day! Framing is complete. Furring strips are up. The initial plumbing and heating work is in. The electricians have worked part of the last two days. Whew!
The house before a 1929 remodel. The photo date is an estimate based on the apparent age of Dan, the little boy on the rocking horse. L to R: Dan (b. 1891) in the wagon with the team of horses, George (b. 1845), ?, ?, George (b. 1897), ?, John (b. 1888) and Annie (b. 1858).
Farmstead: Before
This is a satellite view of the farmstead from Google Earth. We can't wait to see what it looks like next time they update it. So much improvement has been made! You can't even see the house here, but that will soon change.
