Builder has started
Pat, our builder, has been working for three days now. It only looks like a pile of lumber and a couple braces now, but things are rolling and the place should start looking like a house soon.
The house before a 1929 remodel. The photo date is an estimate based on the apparent age of Dan, the little boy on the rocking horse. L to R: Dan (b. 1891) in the wagon with the team of horses, George (b. 1845), ?, ?, George (b. 1897), ?, John (b. 1888) and Annie (b. 1858).
Farmstead: Before
This is a satellite view of the farmstead from Google Earth. We can't wait to see what it looks like next time they update it. So much improvement has been made! You can't even see the house here, but that will soon change.
